Comet Media Foundation
The Comet's trail
In 1985 a year before Comet Halley appeared, a small group drew together to
produce a series of films on the history of science and technology on the Indian
subcontinent. Comet Halley's periodic appearances have seen different stages of
development in science and society through the ages. Inspired by the associations
with this clock of the centuries, the group called itself the Comet Project, and began
work from an office in the Nehru Centre
, Mumbai.
Later registered as the Comet Media Foundation this non-profit organisation has
been producing communication materials on a range of development issues on
themes related to education, environment, health, gender issues and the history of
science
.
The team at Comet has experimented with varied forms of media such as print
publications, films, video, exhibitions, workshops, seminars, performances, sales and
other live interactions
.
Our objectives
